I just realized why Dave and Buster’s has that SUPER retarded point system where games cost 4.2 units or 3.7 units… it’s because Dave and Buster’s has done market research that indicates people’s willingness to pay for each game!!! Although two games priced at 4 quarters may cost the same at a typical arcade, D&B’s pricing system allows them to price a more popular game at say $1.23, and a less popular game at say $1.01, thus Dave and Buster’s pricing strategy squeezes out every last bit of the buyer’s willingness to pay, leaving zero consumer surplus on the table!!
Dave and Buster’s maximizes it’s machine profits by making its video game marketplace more efficient!
omg! Genius! Wow. I feel smart.. this is like… good for a few days of wheeeee.
And somehow all while finishing preparing a bible study on Acts 7 tonight. Hahaha.
