  • Mark Levine radio talkshow:

Excerpt from Democratic debate: (paraphrased somewhat)

Presider: Barack Obama, if the United States leaves Iraq, and Al quaida sets up shop in Iraq after the US leaves, then what are you going to do about it?

Barack Obama: Well as President, I would reserve the right to go back into Iraq to drive them out!

Later, McCain, in response:  Barack Obama, the Al quaida are STILL in Iraq!

    HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA.

    sorry. HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA.

  • The infamous YouTube video that was pulled off of Pakistani servers in response to possible war and civil unrest…

  • Today:

    1) Got Dell laptop back the 2nd time from Dell, and STILL not repaired.  I got an Indian Dell manager on the phone, they promise to fix it this time, and they also promised to reimburse me for the 125.00 next morning air that I sent it by. I should make sure I have that receipt! :)

    2) Put the 4 new music stand lights into a backpack for Friday Night.  I think my the friday teams are going to LOVE them.

    3) Happy Birthday Janice!

    4) Did my presentation for management case study class today.  Instructor liked our presentation. Yes! Got back a 60/100 cuz I did an assignment wrong. Oops.  Got a chance to rewrite for reevaluation by next week.  Yes!

    5) Returned 2 Smart Wool Thermal Microweight pants, and 2 Smart Wool Thermal Midweight zip long sleeve tees.  Also exchanged new The North Face Surge computer backpack for a replacement because an elastic bit came out.

    6) Had a very useful conversation with Janet Azmoun at Tajima about our strengths and doing a SWOT analysis of Harvest.  Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats.  Not done yet, and definitely having fun with it.

  • Strengths Finder 2.0 Abridged

I’m taking a second look at ordering- it appears the higher up the strength is, the stronger it is.  Here are my first two strengths and what I think about it.

Communication-  People who are especially talented in the Communication theme generally find it easy to put their thoughts into words. They are good conversationalists and presenters. Instinctively, you like to amuse people with your stories. Your stories probably provide people with pleasant distractions from their daily routines, worries, and obligations. Because of your strengths, you may be quite comfortable telling stories or describing your experiences.

    -I don’t think I converse particularly magnificently-like?  I’m Presenting a case study with a partner tonight.  I

Adaptability- Its about more than simply rolling with the punches; it is about calmly, intelligently, and readily responding to circumstances.  Driven by your talents, you perform quite well in situations where shifting priorities and changing plans are the norm. You have a gift for reacting in the moment rather than delaying action.
Instinctively, you need to have time to rest and unwind. Rushing from one activity or assignment to
another can take a toll on you mentally, physically, or emotionally. So, rather than do the opposite of
what everyone else is doing, you prefer to move in the same direction as they are. Typically you
choose to use the processes they are using. In your opinion, being cooperative is not only sensible
and efficient, but also less exhausting. Chances are good that you allow events to unfold. You have
the good sense to be flexible and accept change as it occurs.

-I think it’s interesting that in as much as I have this flexibility trait, I still need the extra time to rest and unwind from the extra effort I exercise in navigating and executing that which is unpredictable.

  • Redeemer- stand up, sit down, say something, kinda fun.

Grimaldi’s- Steph, Crystal, Debbie, Valerie, Emily, and Tihua. Was one of those “this’ll probably never happen just like this ever again” things.  Delicious pizza.  I will put it up there with Pizza Port. It was a blessed, not to mention incredibly  humbling experience, lunching together with some of my favorite people. :)

    tonight- FuerzaBruta

  • Crif Dogs- 2x Redneck= bacon wrapped spicy fried dog w/ snappy skin, kraut, coleslaw, onions, jalapenos.
                   – 2 fried eggs
                    -1 small chili cheese fries
                    -1 small tater tot
                    -1 m&m’s cookie

Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory- One scoop of red bean on premises made ice cream. Except it came out looking like 2 scoops, wow, crazy.

Wonton Garden- I don’t normally like it when people say something’s the best, cuz usually when someone says something that is the best they’ve ever had, either they don’t eat out enough, or we just have totally different tastebuds. *However*, we walked in randomly and I seriously had the best wontons and wonton broth and beef tendon noodle soup I’ve ever had.  Just, amazing stuff.  Perfectly seasoned, and usually that only happens with high end food!

    Monty Python’s Spamalot- hilarious!

February 22, 2008

  • Virgin had cheap tickets to NYC.

Today ate at:  Union Square Cafe- high high end restaurant.  Realllly good food.
Blue Ribbon Bakery Cafe- medim high end restaurant.  Good sea bass.
                          Max Brenner Chocolate Bar

Went to MoMA and very tired of walking.  Realized museums would be better if everyone got Segways, or if they set up a conveyor chair system, or maybe a boat system, like it’s a small world.  I could totally enjoy more art if I could see more of it faster.

Fav artists today:  Picasso and Warhol.

Tomorrow: TKTS and I want to see Monty Python’s Spamalot.  I want to laugh.  The other one to possibly see, Fuerza

  • It’s snowing in New York, not the dark scary blizzard kind, but the gentle falling kind that still gives you a bright winter day.

MoMA, maybe ice skating at Rockefeller, good food?

  • If the U.S. doesn’t get rid of the nuclear capability in Iran, then it appears that Israel is going to take things into their own hands.

I guess it’s not easy being the only first world country on earth being threatened with annihilation and removal from the face of the planet by it’s immediate neighbors.
